Recording for the third Darkyra release titled, 'Life Force' is well under way. The release is an album reflecting on the dark and light through different stages of life. The album features European musicians Garry King, Gus Mansur, Fab Jablonski and Lucio Manca as well as Australian musicians, Krissy Louise, Dan Grainger, Maaz Manik, Nikki Dagostino and Julian Nichols. The music is an epic blend of eclectic prog and cinematic rock with symphonic stylings. This release is expected to be ready for distribution early 2025

The first show at Metal United was a success, photos of the night can be seen in the Darkyra Gallery  and footage from our live video captured by DarkSpiritPhotography is currently being edited. Audio of the show on the night was recorded by Ryan Pearce and is now being edited mixed by Garry King at La Foret Groupe.

Tonight 15th April, tune in to The Rock n Metal show with Tammy and Jay on Noongar Radio. Between 7pm and 9pm Perth time, Gina will be hanging out at the station playing some of her favourite tunes and chatting about upcoming Darkyra gigs and new music. Also this Saturday (20th April) just before Darkyra play Metal United, Krissy will be swinging by HFM station 107.3.....around 3pm, tune in to hear about news and upcoming events.....rumour is she'll be playing her favourite Black Sabbath song.

We,re pleased to announce our first show for 2024. We are honoured to perform at Metal United Downunder 
Festival on the 20th April. Celebrating the 10years it's been up and running. An amazing concept uniting all forms of metal in every state in Australia performing all on the same date. We hope you will show your support in witnessing our relaunch as well as seeing an incredible of lineup of rising metal acts.

We can all agree that we're glad to see the back of

2023. 2024 is here and goods things to come!

Things happening behind the scenes - Our first song with our newly formed team is under way and Dan is currently working the drums on "Celebrity Smile". We have a few others that are in the early stage of configuration.

We are currently working on dates for shows this year. We have a photoshoot scheduled in the coming week for promo and a meetup to discuss how we're going to tackle this year. January is Birthday month for three of us. Julian, Nikki and Gina.

 

Also we'd like to give a shout out to www.laforetgroupe.com. Gina has recently become part of their team of session musicians and composers from around the globe after reconnecting recently with Garry King. Garry not only provided drums on both Dragon Tears and Fool but was also the exceptional producer of Drangon Tears and co produced Fool. He's a great mentor and all round great guy.Some fantastic music being produced at La Foret, I recommend you check them out.
